Pacific Gardens Cohousing Community

Pacific Gardens Cohousing Community is looking for

members. We are developing a 25 unit apartment-condo

type environmentally friendly cohousing project on a

gorgeous 4.37 acre of land in Nanaimo. We have already

submitted the architectural plans to the city for a building

permit and have begun discussions with lenders.

There is a good mix of 1,2 and 3 bedroom units which

range in size from 711 square feet to 1550 square feet.

Each unit will open onto, and have access to, a glass-roofed

atrium and a 6000+ square foot Common House. The

Common areas are designed for active daily use and are

an integral part of the community. These extensive

facilities include:

• a large kitchen & adjacent dining hall with a children's play area
• a woodworking shop
• a wet crafts room
• a music/meditation room
• an exercise room
• bicycle storage
• individual storage
• 2 guest suites with bathroom facilities
• a conversation lounge
• a multipurpose room
• an office
• a common laundry area
• recycling
• storage
• organic orchards & gardens
