Student to Student

The information on this page is provided by students, for students. It is meant to answer any questions that would help a new student find any of the supplementary things they might need to know in order to take workshops offered through the Earth Masters scheduling system. We might help each other with things like finding a ride to a student-organized field trip site, referals to contacts for housing options or to find the closest store, bus or hiking trails in the vicinity of your workshop or housing.

Information about the EM Program itself can be found by clicking on any of the related links in the Side Bar, that will take you to an Earth Masters Program wiki, blog or, later, the official student-designed website. This page is not meant to represent the EM Program, only to provide a contact point and a friendly resource to help you with your needs during your study time.

Quick Overview

For a quick idea of what the Earth Masters Program is about, you can check the Student FAQs or download the earlier StudentSurvey announcement that went out in the Spring of 2006.

* This is a wiki site and is not manned by an official Webmaster. There is no one person or organization in charge. What you will find here has been contributed by students and volunteers, on different assignments and at different times. Make sure to use the Contact List you have been given to check that you have the most recent available information. In the meantime, this wiki can tell you where to find the help you may be looking for.

The Student Services Wiki is a work in progress. Be sure to make your presence felt. If you would like to contribute ideas and improvements, you can add your ideas to this ongoing Project by going to Write These Pages! in the Side Bar / Index. You can either enhance the work that's already there or add a New Personal Page to keep a record of your thoughts and ideas. (* PLEASE! Do not attempt to write or make changes to the personal pages of other people!)

PLEASE NOTE: A problem can occur with concurrent postings. There is always a risk you can loose the work on the page you're posting to, SO... Before you post... Go to Edit Page for the page you're wanting to write to and type (then hit "save") a big note centered at the top, saying: I am currently posting to this page! PLEASE DON'T POST. (* DON'T FORGET to take it off again, when your done.)

HINT: It might help to FIRST make a temporary text copy of the code for any page that you're thinking of changing, so that if you don't like what you're working on, you can simply go back and replace it with what was already there, without risk of loosing it.
